The Search interface is a comprehensive document search which uses the document attributes to quickly find the document you need as well as provides a fast way to get to that electronic document within Filing. Select Search in the menu to access the Search interface.

General Search
The Search function is quite intuitive and very fast. You can quickly search every single document
in your entire system then use column header sorting to find what you’re looking for. Alternatively,
you can use the attribute selections to refine your search.
Refined Search
In this example, a more refined search has been used by using a part of the name as well as the document type
of expense report to filter out all documents except expense reports from Nick Bell. Partial spellings and key words
can be used in the Name field to quickly identify all documents that contain that string of letters for fast
identification and refinement of your search.

Column Sort
In this example, the user has clicked on the Amount column to sort from highest to lowest
(clicking again will sort from lowest to highest, etc.). This is an extremely useful tool for finding
documents based on an column attribute.

Getting to Documents From Search
To get to a document from Search simply right click and select edit to automatically have QCDocs find
and open Filing with the searched document highlighted as in the example below.
